John Bateman (rugby league)
John Bateman (born 30 September 1993) is an English professional rugby league player for Wigan Warriors. He primarily plays second-row and loose forward, but made his Test debut against France in October 2015 playing in the centres. John signed for Wigan Warriors in November 2013 from Bradford Bulls.

Born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, Bateman played his junior football for Bradford Dudley Hill before being signed by the Bradford Bulls. In Round 12 of 2011's Super League XVI, he made his Super League début for the Bulls against the Catalans Dragons.〔http://www.rleague.com//db/player/b/bateman_john/index.php〕
